CHIEFLY TO HELP its vehicle owners fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and reduce the risk of contagion, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is making available an upgraded PM2.5+ cabin air filter. Priced at P950 (plus VAT), the product will be offered with a 19% discount until Oct. 20.
“Now more than ever, people have a renewed appreciation for health and clean air. To help with the nagging fight against the pandemic, as well as asthma, and other respiratory illnesses, responsible vehicle owners take it upon themselves to ensure that their cars are well maintained for these reasons as well,” HCPI said in a release. “For Honda’s part, this latest PM2.5+ cabin air filter provides 90% to 99% protection from dreadful viruses and bacteria. The dust-collecting filter has a high collection efficiency for various kinds of particles such as dust, molds, volcanic ash, outside emissions, and cigarette smoke.”
The cabin air filter will vastly improve the vehicle’s interior air quality by “filtering out external and internal pollutants.”
HCPI added that the filter has a new anti-microbial coating that helps to eliminate viruses and bacteria. The product releases a so-called Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) that bears a germicidal effect — preventing microbes from adhering to the filter.
